Magical Castle Wedding

Updated: Jun 9, 2020

Oh what a magical day it was for Alyssa and Brian who said "I do" with an amazing backdrop, the Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, PA on a beautiful September afternoon.

We worked with Alyssa and Brian to fully plan and design their special day and oh how fun it was! They are such an outgoing couple who love nature so of course we wanted to reflect that in every corner of the space and enhance the beauty that already exists on-site.

The Getting Ready:

The first look:

For Alyssa and Brian's first look, I saw a fun surprise online where a bride was wearing a T-Rex costume to surprise her fiancé during the first look, I sent that post to Alyssa as a joke and she immediately said "let's do it!", so of course we went on a hunt for a fun dinosaur mask with claws and all!

The Details, Ceremony and Reception:

Alyssa and Brian said "I do" right in front of the castle with an amazing circular floral backdrop created by Maura Rose and which was later repurposed behind the sweetheart table at the reception.

We create a custom champagne wall and placed one of the servers behind it to hand out champagne as guests arrived at the venue and walked towards the ceremony site.

Alyssa plays the trumpet, so of course we had to include a trumpet player at the ceremony who indicated to the guests when the ceremony was about to start and the bride was about to come out. The kind of moments that give you chills!!

We kept the color palette very clean with just ivory and a few blush blooms, letting the deep greenery be the star of the day enhancing all of the nature around the venue's grounds and bringing it into the tent.

The table numbers were super fun to create! Alyssa and Brian did not want the typical table numbers so instead, we went with table "names". They grouped their guests at each table and gave that table a name that was relevant to that group and had a meaning to everyone there.

Alyssa had this vision of having the escort cards be picked out from a tree somehow, so we went to Maura Rose who created this amazing set-up where we could pin the escort cards to the branches and guests could "pick" them off of.

For their favors, the gave out homemade Limoncello!

An interactive photo "booth" and a caricature artist completed the night of this magical castle wedding!!
